Mount Washington is known for it’s particularly extreme weather, the observatory has self-proclaimed the summit as “Home of the World’s Worst Weather.” Though technically less extreme, low temperatures and high winds at nearby ski resorts, such as Wildcat Mountain, prompted closures, on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4.
2/4/23 630 Due to very cold temps and extremely high winds, Wildcat Mountain will be CLOSED TODAY, Saturday 2/4/23. We plan to open tomorrow, Sunday 2/5/23 at 830am. We'll see you on the mountain (Just not today).
