Patagonia Opens First Permanent Worn Wear Store
Patagonia’s Worn Wear recently announced the opening of their first-ever permanent Worn Wear store.
Located next door to the Patagonia store in Chicago’s Fulton Market, Worn Wear sells used, repaired and redesigned Patagonia gear, this opening comes on the heels of years of running pop-ups and semi-permanent concepts.
Worn Wear’s announcement comes at a time where we are seeing soaring consumer interest in secondhand clothing — the market is projected to double by 2026. Buying used clothing is good for your wallet and for the environment. Buying secondhand not only keeps clothing out of the landfill, it also preserves the resources (water, emissions, etc.) used to make a new pair of clothing.
According to Worn Wear, “buying used extends a garments life by about two years," which drastically reduces both our reliance on virgin resources and our generation of waste,” you can also shop their collection online.
