Australian Study Shows More People Will Cycle With Safer Infrastructure

A recent study conducted by researchers in Victoria, Australia found that there is widespread interest — 78 percent of those surveyed— in cycling, but only when high-quality cycling infrastructure is provided.
Their concerns are well-warranted. In 2020, 697 cyclists were reported killed in the United States alone. Do you want to work towards better bike infrastructure in your city? Bicycling offers a helpful playbook on how to advocate for bike lanes in your community.
