Jade Yoga has been making functional environmentally friendly yoga mats since 2000. They recently launched a beautiful Local Women's Handicrafts capsule collection featuring handmade yoga rugs and accessories made from recycled saris by women in Nepal.

Local Women's Handicrafts is a Nepal-based organization that was founded in 2008 by Nasreen Sheikh to lift up women who have been marginalized and exploited. After surviving two years as a child laborer in a sweatshop, Nasreen opened Local Women’s Handicrafts and began to train local women. Today their centers offer women opportunities, training in fiber crafts, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, and services such as health and wellness services, women’s hygiene classes, basic education, and food providing gardens.
