One of the best ways to live a sustainable lifestyle is to grow your own food at home or purchase as much as you can from your local farmers. Not only does buying from your local farmers market cut down on carbon emissions (think about the avocado sitting on your counter that was trucked from Mexico to your town), it also helps develop community and support the local economy.

Finding fresh produce in the winter is difficult, well, because most produce doesn’t grow in the winter, but there are a few places that you can go to get fresh good from your local farmers all year long.
